The ballroom floor was prepared for the nominees of the 2009 British Association of Teachers of Dancing Annual Stage and Ballet Scholarships at the Holiday Inn Select Airport Venue in Toronto, Ontario. These students gathered for an hour and a half dance class with a teacher from Scotland who put them through the paces for a panel of judges. The students were expected to perform a warm-up, floor progressions and then a routine. The top three dancers were then chosen for Ballet, Jazz and Tap in Junior and Senior Levels.
